Gujarat Titans booked their place in the Indian Premier League final with a seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals, setting up a title clash with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Chasing a daunting 219, Gujarat overhauled the target with eight balls to spare, thanks to a commanding 167-run opening stand between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan.

Gill led from the front with a brilliant 104 off 53 deliveries, striking 15 boundaries, while Sudharsan provided strong support at the other end as the Titans registered their highest successful chase in IPL history.

Rajasthan Royals had earlier posted 214/6, powered by a sensational 96 off 47 balls from 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who continued his breakthrough season with another explosive knock.

Despite Sooryavanshi’s efforts, Gujarat’s batting firepower proved decisive as they reached 219/3 in 18.4 overs.

The victory marks Gujarat Titans’ third IPL final appearance in five years, having lifted the trophy in 2022.

The final will be played on Sunday in Ahmedabad.
