
The Kitex Group-backed Twenty20 party failed to make any impact in its debut Lok Sabha elections. Twenty20 party had fielded its candidates in two seats namely, Ernakulam and Chalakudy. In both seats, Twenty20 finished fourth.
In Ernakulam, Adv Antony Judy fetched 39,808 votes and got only 4.37 percent of the vote share. In Chalakudy, Adv Charly Paul got 1,05,642 votes and got only 11.11 percent of vote share.
Party president Sabu M. Jacob during the announcement of candidates had attacked both LDF and UDF. He alleged that all they have done is the installation of high-mast lights in constituencies. Sabu had claimed that Twenty20 would show the people what an MP can do for a constituency.
