Kasaragod: Media persons were attacked by UDF workers at Cherkala when they reached the booth on hearing about a scuffle between LDF and UDF workers in connection with bogus voting. LDF district committee had lodged a complaint with the district electoral officer regarding widespread bogus voting by the UDF workers in the booth. On hearing about the incident, reporters have reached the spot. 

As they reached the spot, some of the LDF agents who were sitting inside the booth were being pushed out of the booth by the UDF workers. Furious over the media persons’ attempts to capture the scene, the UDF workers have attacked the media team. The representatives of Mathrubhumi daily and Mathrubhumi news too  were attacked . Representatives of Kairali news too were attacked. 

Timely intervention of the police helped to put things under control.
