Kozhikode: The fight for the golden cup tightens as the Kerala State School Kalolsavam is nearing closure.

Host Kozhikode overtook Kannur on day four. Kannur had been leading the contest from day one. However, the point difference between the top teams is very thin and the thrill of the fight is expected to continue until the final day, Saturday.

As of 4 pm on Friday, Kozhikode has 750 points and Kannur is right behind them with 749 points. Palakkad has 740 and Thrissur is fourth with 728 (Complete and live table).

The closing ceremony will begin on Saturday evening at the main stage, Vikram Maidan.
