Vietnam has launched an attractive 10-year Golden Visa programme aimed at foreign entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, and long-term visitors. According to media reports, the programme is particularly focused on attracting people from countries like India. Announced in May 2025, the initiative promises long-term residency, business opportunities and digital mobility.

The renewable visa, valid for up to ten years, allows holders to live and work in Vietnam without any restrictions and to establish and grow businesses with ease.

Entrepreneurs can set up in key sectors such as information technology, sustainable energy, and textiles. Vietnam’s low cost of living and robust digital infrastructure further enhance the country’s appeal to foreign investors and professionals.

The visa is available under three main categories:

Investor Visa – For people making capital investments in Vietnam.

Talent Visa – Designed for professionals with expertise in sectors like technology, finance, healthcare, and education.

Golden Visa for Long-Term Visitors – Suited for retirees and those seeking a peaceful, long-term stay in the country.

Applications for the Golden Visa are fully online, there is no need to visit the embassy. Families can apply together and benefit from access to healthcare, education, and other essential services. The visa is renewable for a period of five to ten years.
