US Central Command released a dramatic video on Sunday showcasing the B-2 Spirit stealth bombers that targeted Iran's deeply buried ballistic missile facilities during Saturday night's ferocious strikes.

Earlier, a US defence official had confirmed the deployment of four B-2s, which flew non-stop round-trips from the United States mainland. "They dropped dozens of 2,000-lb bombs on underground ballistic missile sites in Iran," the official said. Open-source flight trackers had earlier tipped analysts to the bombers' involvement.

This marks the second B-2 strike on Iran in eight months. Last June, six B-2s hammered fortified nuclear sites at Isfahan, Fordow, and Natanz -- kicking off with six 30,000-pound Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs), or "bunker-busters," on Fordow's subterranean uranium enrichment halls, followed by 30 Tomahawk missiles on the others.

The B-2 Spirit, a 30-year pillar of US air dominance, boasts 6,000-nautical-mile unrefueled range --extendable indefinitely via tankers -- for piercing enemy airspace undetected. Its radar-evading design excels at high-value, hardened targets like Iran's bunkered missile silos.

CENTCOM footage captures the ghosts in action, highlighting Operation Epic Fury's focus on crippling Tehran's missile arsenal amid the broader US-Israel campaign. Strikes intensify as Iran retaliates with drones and missiles on Israel and US Gulf bases, fueling Middle East tinderbox fears.
