Moscow: Russia has declined to speculate on the outcome of the highly anticipated summit between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, set to take place on Friday. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who arrived in Alaska ahead of the talks, told Russian state television, "We never make any predictions ahead of time."

Lavrov further stated, "We know that we have our arguments and our position is clear and unambiguous. We will present it." Notably, the foreign minister was seen wearing a T-shirt featuring the letters "USSR" during his comments.

Lavrov's remarks signal Russia's firm stance on the upcoming discussions, emphasising that while the country has a clear position, it will refrain from guessing the summit’s results before the meeting takes place. The summit is expected to focus on critical issues, including the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and broader geopolitical relations between the two nations.
