Jeff Bezos, the billionaire founder of Amazon, and journalist-turned-philanthropist Lauren Sánchez are reportedly preparing to tie the knot in Venice, Italy, in June 2025.

The couple, who announced their engagement in May 2023 during a European vacation, have kept most wedding details under wraps.

Despite Sánchez downplaying the event’s scale in a November 2024 interview, her 30-carat engagement ring and leaked guest details suggest otherwise. According to her brother Paul Sánchez, the ceremony is expected to be held this month, with guests such as Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Karlie Kloss, and Joshua Kushner reportedly invited.

Initial rumours indicated a $600 million ceremony in Aspen, Colorado, but the couple has apparently settled on Venice. The city's mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, acknowledged preparations were underway, noting concerns over media frenzy, environmental sustainability, and public disruption.

The secrecy and grandeur of the affair have drawn comparisons to the Ambani wedding in July 2024 and sparked criticism online. While fans await official photos or statements, many question the extravagance of the celebration at a time of global unrest and income inequality — contributing to growing public scrutiny of Bezos.
