The last-minute delivery, via private jet, coincided with a star-studded celebration featuring A-list guests like Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey.

Venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, known for his role as a co-host of the “All-In” podcast, shared on X that he sent a case of his ultra-premium tequila to Bezos in Venice as a wedding gift.
“Apropos of celebrity drinkers of our tequila,” Palihapitiya wrote. “I just got a text from Bezos. Sent my plane with a case of our tequila to Venice as a wedding present,” he said, adding, “Congratulations Jeff+Lauren!”
Palihapitiya and his podcast co-hosts launched the $1,200-per-bottle tequila on 21 June in Los Angeles. The 750 ml bottles, shaped like poker chips, sold out within hours, according to a TechCrunch report. Though the number of bottles sent to Bezos was not disclosed, flight tracking data showed a flurry of private jets arriving in Venice for the wedding.
Million Dollar wedding
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos married journalist Lauren Sánchez in an extravagant three-day celebration held on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, on Friday, 27 June.
The opulent wedding reportedly cost around $50 million and was attended by a host of celebrities from the worlds of Hollywood and tech, including Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Later, the bride shared a photo on Instagram under the new name “laurensanchezbezos,” featuring herself in a long, flowing white dress and the groom dressed in black tie. The newlyweds are currently staying at the Aman hotel, a luxurious 16th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal, with views of the iconic Rialto Bridge.
‘Dolce Notte’ and custom Amazon-themed return gifts
The wedding celebrations concluded with a finale party dubbed ‘Dolce Notte’ or ‘Sweet Night’. The star-studded event saw celebrity guests dressed in couture sleepwear for an evening of music, glamour, and bespoke gifts.
Guests were treated to thoughtful return gifts that reflected the personalities of the bride and groom. Male guests received plush blue velvet Venetian slippers from Vibi Venezia, while female guests were gifted black open-toe slippers from Amazon.
The gifts, Sánchez told Vogue, were intentionally designed to represent both her and Bezos. “So you have a little of both!” she added.
