Beyond these allegations, Khan’s legal team reports he has lost 85% vision in his right eye due to inadequate medical care.

Islamabad: Incarcerated former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed profound distress over the "cruel and inhumane" treatment of his wife, Bushra Bibi, during a rare telephonic conversation with his sons to mark the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.
Speaking from Adiala Jail, the 73-year-old founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party alleged that authorities are using his wife’s imprisonment as a psychological tool to break his political resolve. According to a report by The Independent, Khan’s son, Kasim Khan, shared details of the emotional call on social media, noting that his father described the targeting of women for political leverage as "un-Islamic" and a "stain on the nation’s judiciary."
Khan claimed that Bushra Bibi is being kept in "complete isolation" 24 hours a day, with her weekly 30-minute meeting with him frequently cancelled by prison staff without prior notice. The former premier issued a scathing critique of the country’s legal system, asserting that judges had "sold their souls" by failing to intervene against the alleged mistreatment of a former first lady.
On Monday, Khan reportedly underwent a third round of medical injections for severe vision loss in his right eye. His legal team recently claimed that the former cricket star has lost approximately 85 per cent of his vision in that eye due to inadequate medical attention while in custody.
Both Khan and Bushra Bibi are currently serving lengthy sentences following convictions in several cases, including the Al-Qadir Trust corruption inquiry and the Toshakhana state gifts case. While the PTI continues to challenge these rulings in higher courts, the party has announced a nationwide "Release Imran Khan" movement scheduled to commence following the Eid holidays.
Government officials have consistently denied allegations of victimisation, maintaining that both Khan and his wife are being held in accordance with the jail manual and provided with all mandatory facilities.
