A powerful explosion in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan claimed 6 lives and injured 19. Hospitals are on emergency alert. Investigation underway.

At least six people lost their lives and many others were injured following a powerful explosion in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province on Tuesday, according to media reports.
The blast took place near Zarghoon Road in Quetta, as reported by The Express Tribune. Police sources confirmed that six people died in the incident, while at least 19 others sustained injuries.
In response, the Balochistan Health Department declared an emergency across hospitals in Quetta. Health Secretary Mujeebur Rehman directed all medical personnel, including consultants, doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and paramedics, to remain on duty.
Dr Waseem Baig, Media Coordinator for the provincial Health Department, told Dawn that nineteen injured victims were admitted to the Civil Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department and Trauma Centre for treatment.
The situation remains tense as authorities continue their investigation.
