Kochi: Tourists may be able to visit six Gulf nations under a Schengen-style single visa system. The countries included in the single visa system are UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. 

A decision in this regard was taken in the Future Hospitality Summit 2023 held in Abu Dhabi and is likely to be implemented soon. With the move, multiple transit visas will not be required for travelling to these Gulf nations. 

In short, when the visa system comes into effect, both citizens of Gulf countries and foreigners can visit six countries with a single visa. The project will be a major advantage for those Malayalis who wish to travel to multiple countries.  

The major attraction is that one can visit their relatives and friends in various Gulf countries using a single visa and less expense.
