Jeddah: Saudi Civil Defence has issued a warning of heavy rainfall across various regions of the country until Monday. The alert covers Tabuk, Madinah, Al Jouf, Northern Borders, Eastern Province, Hail, Qassim, Baha and Asir, where moderate to heavy rainfall is expected, according to the Directorate of Civil Defence.

As thunderstorms and heavy rains are forecasted to continue in most parts of the country until Monday, the General Directorate of Civil Defence has urged the public to remain vigilant.

People have been advised to stay in safe locations, avoid valleys and flood-prone areas, and refrain from swimming in such places, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

The report also indicated the likelihood of rainfall in Makkah, Riyadh, Jizan and Najran regions. Civil Defence has urged the public to rely on official sources for the latest weather updates.
