UK-based Apex Partners invests ₹1,500 crore in Kochi’s iD Fresh Foods; IPO planned by 2027.

Kochi-based food products company iD Fresh Food, led by Malayali entrepreneur P C Mustafa, has received a major investment from UK-based Apex Partners. The stake was acquired alongside other investor firms such as Premji Invest and TPG NewQuest.
P C Mustafa and four of his relatives collectively hold shares in the company. iD Fresh Food started in 2005, selling hygienic idli and dosa batter through innovative packaging in Bangalore and nearby regions. Over the years, it has expanded its product range to include items such as parotta, filter coffee, butter sticks, bread, paneer and curd, establishing itself as a leading food brand in India.
The company has also expanded its presence to international markets, including the Gulf region. In the last financial year, iD Fresh Food reported a revenue of ₹681 crore, with plans to reach ₹1,100–1,200 crore in the next financial year.
An initial public offering (IPO) is planned by the end of 2027 to list the company’s shares on the stock exchanges.
P C Mustafa will continue to hold a major stake in the company alongside Apex. The exact percentage of shares acquired and the amount invested have not been disclosed. However, indications suggest that Apex spent over ₹1,500 crore for roughly 30–35% of the company. According to reports, this values iD Fresh Food at approximately ₹4,500 crore.
Speaking about the investment, P C Mustafa, Founder and Global CEO of iD Fresh, said Apex’s funding would accelerate the company’s growth and help expand both its product portfolio and market presence.
