Kozhikode / Chennai: The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) and Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly design, deliver and certify customised training programmes for the bank’s senior leadership and executives.

The agreement was formalised during the 90th Foundation Day celebrations of IOB, marking a significant step in the bank’s renewed focus on human capital development. Alongside the MoU, IOB announced the creation of a dedicated Centre of Excellence (CoE) for training and capacity building.

Under the partnership, IIM Kozhikode’s Kochi Campus and IOB’s Staff College, together with the newly inaugurated CoE, will collaborate to develop high-impact learning interventions. These programmes will be tailored for top executives, senior management and selected officers, aligning closely with the bank’s strategic priorities and long-term vision of becoming a leading institution rooted in sound banking principles.

The collaboration is intended to strengthen IOB’s ability to navigate a rapidly changing economic and social environment while pursuing sustainable value creation. Both institutions will jointly identify and design training initiatives that address the bank’s evolving needs, drawing on IIM Kozhikode’s expertise across management disciplines.
