New Delhi: Deloitte India launched Tax Pragya, an Artificial Intelligence-powered platform, on Tuesday to equip tax professionals with accelerated research inputs and insights.

The mobile-friendly tax AI agent facilitates smarter searches, rapid learning, and effortless cross-skilling across Income Tax, GST/Indirect Tax, and Transfer Pricing, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP stated.

Tax Pragya serves as a search and summarisation tool capable of resolving high-volume, high-risk issues in Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), tax audit reporting, litigation management, GST compliance, Transfer Pricing, and capital gains computation, while providing real-time dashboards, predictive analytics, and robust audit trails.

Unlike traditional tools that simply retrieve documents, Tax Pragya tackles complex queries through thorough background analysis and delivers concise, evidence-based responses, with an interactive chatbot for in-depth exploration of tax documents and case laws.

Deloitte India President for Tax, Gokul Chaudhri, described it as "a pivotal shift in how tax teams of businesses, large or small, can use responsible AI to access technical insights at speed."

Partner Sumit Singhania noted that after a successful pilot with over 2,000 Deloitte professionals, "new age technologies fundamentally reshape the pace and precision of tax knowledge and insights," powered by training on more than 1.2 million tax cases and 5,000 Deloitte-authored papers.

Available via flexible subscriptions with trial periods and customisation options for client data, the platform caters to diverse organisational needs.
