Kozhikode: Akasa Air is set to commence its first Mumbai-Kozhikode service on Wednesday. Flight KP 1701 will depart from Mumbai at 5:35 PM and is scheduled to arrive in Kozhikode at 7:20 PM. The return journey will leave Kozhikode at 7:55 PM and reach Mumbai at 9:40 PM.
The airline will operate a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for this route, featuring 180 economy-class seats. Ticket prices are expected to range between ₹3,000 and ₹4,000.
Passengers can also avail of connecting flights to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune through Akasa Air.
In addition to domestic operations, the company is reportedly considering international services from Kozhikode. As a preliminary step, Akasa Air has already taken over the Hajj flights from Kozhikode.
The airline is expected to resume services to the Gulf region, including planned flights to Riyadh and Jeddah. Expansion into other domestic destinations is also part of the company’s roadmap.
