Dubai: Lulu Group Chairman M A Yusuff Ali has emerged as the wealthiest Malayali in Forbes’ latest list of global billionaires, with a net worth of $5.5 billion (approximately Rs 47,000 crore). He ranks 32nd among Indian billionaires and 639th globally.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X, leads the global rankings with a staggering $342 billion. Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg follows in second place with $216 billion, edging past Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, who holds $215 billion. Oracle’s Larry Ellison ($192 billion) and LVMH chief Bernard Arnault & family ($178 billion) occupy the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

Among Indian billionaires, Mukesh Ambani tops the list with a fortune of $92.5 billion, placing him 18th globally. He is followed by Gautam Adani ($56.3 billion), Jindal Group’s Savitri Jindal ($35.5 billion), HCL founder Shiv Nadar ($34.5 billion), and Sun Pharma’s Dilip Shanghvi.

Other Malayali billionaires featured in the list include GEMS Education Chairman Sunny Varkey ($3.9 billion), Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan ($3.8 billion), RP Group Chairman Ravi Pillai ($3.7 billion), P.N.C.Menon ($3.4 billion), Joy Alukkas Group Chairman Joy Alukkas ($3.3 billion), Kalyanaraman ($3.1 billion), Burjeel Holdings chairman Dr Shamsheer Vayalil ($2 billion), former Infosys CEO S D Shibulal ($2 billion), the Muthoot family ($1.9 billion) and Kochouseph Chittilappilly ($1.3 billion).
