Kozhikode: A 35-year-old Kerala youtuber has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl after falsely promising to marry her. Muhammed Sali, a resident of Kasaragod, was apprehended by Koyilandy Police at Mangaluru Airport upon his return from abroad.

Sali, who had been active on social media for the past seven years, has social media accounts under various names including Shalu King Media, Shalu King Vlogs, and Shalu King Family.

He was married in 2016 and has three children. It was during a period of estrangement from his wife that he came into contact with the victim through social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. According to police, he gained the girl's trust and subsequently assaulted her, claiming he intended to marry her.

After a case was registered, the accused fled the country. A lookout notice was issued by Koyilandy Police, which led to his arrest upon arrival at Mangaluru Airport.
