Cherpu: A shop owner was attacked with a filled soda bottle for making political remarks. The victim was identified as Krishnadas (68), owner of Sreekrishna, a textile store near Rajah Company Karuvannur. 

The victim suffered severe injuries after a local stormed into his shop and struck him with a soda bottle that burst into his head. Krishnandas was admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur and has three stitches on his head. 

Cherpu SI confirmed that the investigation has begun and the accused has also been taken into custody.
