Kochi: A case has been registered against a youth for allegedly blocking the official vehicle of Kerala High Court Chief Justice S Manikumar here on Sunday. 

The accused has been identified as truck driver Dijo, a native of Udumbanchola in Idukki. Reportedly, the inebriated youth also hurled obscene remarks against the chief justice.

The incident took place around 11 pm. Dijo attempted to block the chief justice’s vehicle, which was en route from the airport to his official residence, near the Goshree bridges. 

The youth also tried to manhandle the chief security officer of the chief justice, who later lodged a complaint. The police have also taken Dijo’s bike into custody.
