
Thrithala: A youngster was hacked to death in Karimbana Kadavu. The deceased was identified as Ansar (25), he was a native of Pattambi. The incident happened around 7 PM on Thursday. Ansar, who had sustained a neck injury, desperately attempted to seek the attention of passing vehicles, for a ride to the hospital. He was rushed to a private hospital in Pattambi in a vehicle by the locals.
Thrithala police inspected the place where the attack took place and could find blood stains everywhere. The incident is said to have happened near a beverages outlet in the area. A car was found abandoned at the place as well. It is rumoured that a knife with blood stains was recovered from the particular car. Moments before his death, Ansar is also known to have told that a group of people who arrived in the car had attacked him. His statements are yet to be confirmed.
Locals gathered around the hospital in large numbers following the incident. A team of police including Shoranur DySP arrived at the spot. Ansar was into scrap business. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The deceased is survived by his mother Safiya and three siblings.
