Varappuzha: A youngster who took a test drive on a bike keeping his mother waiting at the showroom met with a tragic death. The deceased was identified as Nidhin Nathan (23), a native of Varappuzha. He lost his life in a road accident which happened in Kadavanthra. 

It is known that Nidhin was about to celebrate his 24th birthday on February 16. He along with his mother had arrived at the bike showroom in Kadavanthra yesterday around 12 PM to buy a new bike, which was supposedly a birthday gift for Nidhin. 

Nidhin took the bike on a test drive. However, he lost control of the vehicle while taking a U-turn at Elamkulam and crashed into the metro pillar.    

Sadly, the youngster lay on the road unattended for more than five minutes. Eventually he was taken to a private hospital in Vyttila in a vehicle belonging to the excise department. But, Nidhin had succumbed to his injuries at the accident site itself.

Nidhin is survived by his father, mother and a sister.
