Kochi: A young woman studying to become a nun was found dead at Kothamangalam SH Convent here on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Anu Alex, a native of Thodupuzha. She was 21 years old. 

Anu was found hanging in her room on Saturday. According to the inmates, she was last seen after she attended the dinner and left for her room around 10.30 pm on Friday. There was a prayer going on in the chapel. However, the convent authorities became suspicious after she failed to attend the prayer. Later, she was found dead in his room. 

Police have registered a case over the incident and have launched a detailed investigation. Further, examination and postmortem procedures have been completed. A suicide note was also found in her room stating that no one was responsible for her death.
