Kumbla, Kasaragod: A 28-year-old woman died in a tragic accident on the Bandiyod–Muttam national highway here on Sunday.

The victim has been identified as CP Fathimath Mirzana, a resident of Manjeshwaram.

The accident happened when an Alto car collided with a Thar jeep. The car was completely destroyed in the crash. Both vehicles were travelling towards Mangaluru.

Four people were injured in the accident, and one person remains in critical condition. The injured were immediately rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru.

The Thar jeep overturned on the road due to the impact, and its occupants also sustained injuries. Kumbla police arrived at the scene and have initiated further proceedings.
