Adimali: A young woman named Sreedevi (27) was found dead in her rented house at Priyadarshini colony in Adimali. The woman’s friend who was living with her has been taken into police custody.

According to the police, Sreedevi was living in the colony for the last six months along with her friend who was a native of Valara. On Sunday, Sreedevi engaged in a verbal duel with her friend, forcing him to leave the place. He returned to the room by 5 PM, but found Sreedevi hanging in the bathroom.

Police sent the body to Adimali hospital. After identifying discrepancies in the statements given by Sreedevi’s friend, police took him into custody for further interrogation. Sreedevi’s dead body has been shifted to Idukki medical college for postmortem.
