Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has issued a major reshuffle of IAS officers, with new appointments announced for the District Collectors of Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam and Palakkad.
The official order was released late on Tuesday night.

N S Umesh, who was serving as the District Collector of Ernakulam, has been appointed as the director general of Public Education. He will also take over as the managing director of KFC (Kerala Financial Corporation).

G Priyanka, who was the District Collector of Palakkad, will now be the new District Collector of Ernakulam.

M S Madhavikutty, who was deputy secretary in the Health Department, has been appointed as the District Collector of Palakkad.

V Vighneswari, who served as the District Collector of Idukki, has been posted as additional secretary in the Agriculture Department. Dr Dinesan Cheruvat, who was director of panchayats, will replace her as District Collector of Idukki.

John V Samuel, who was District Collector of Kottayam, has been made director of the Water Transport Department. Chetan Kumar Meena, formerly additional resident commissioner in New Delhi, has been appointed as the new Kottayam District Collector.

K Vasuki, who was Secretary in the Labour Department, has been posted as secretary of the Public Education Department.

Puneet Kumar, who was the resident commissioner in Delhi, has been appointed as additional chief secretary, Local Self-Government Department.

S Shanavas, who was the director general of Public Education, is now the new Labour secretary.

Jeromic George, returning from study leave, has been posted as principal director of the Local Self-Government Department.

Dr S Chitra, who was additional secretary in the Local Self-Government Department, has been transferred to the Public Education Department.

A Geetha, who served as joint secretary, Land Revenue, is now additional secretary in the Revenue Department.

A Nizamuddin, formerly mission director of the MGNREGS, has been appointed director of KILA (Kerala Institute of Local Administration).

Sreedhanya Suresh, who was inspector general of registration, has been transferred as additional director of Tourism.

Dr Ashwathi Srinivas, formerly managing director of the Civil Supplies Corporation, has been appointed additional resident commissioner in New Delhi.

Dr J O Arjun, who was director of the Backward Classes Development Corporation, is now CEO of the Wayanad Township Project.

K Meera, Fort Kochi Sub-Collector, has been appointed as director of Survey and Land Records.

Dr Mithun Premraj, who was Sub-Collector of Ottapalam, is now joint commissioner, Land Revenue.

Mizal Sagar Bharat, Mananthavady Sub-Collector, has been appointed deputy secretary, Backward Classes Development Corporation.

Harish R Meena, Kozhikode Sub-Collector, has been posted as director of Environment and Climate Change.

V M Jayakrishna, who served as Sub-Collector of Devikulam, has been appointed managing director of the Civil Supplies Corporation.

D Ranjith, Kottayam Sub-Collector, is now the mission director of MGNREGS.

Apoorva Tripathi, formerly Sub-Collector of Perinthalmanna, will take over as CEO of LIFE Mission.

Sheeba George has been appointed additional secretary in the Health Department.

Upon completion of their second-phase training at Mussoorie, the following new appointments will be made:

  • Granthé Sayikrishna as Sub-Collector, Fort Kochi
  • Sakshi Mohanan as Sub-Collector, Perinthalmanna
