Kochi: A Paravoor native has approached police here with a fresh complaint against Perumbavoor MLA Eldhose Kunnapillil. According to complainant Babu John, the MLA threatened to kill him.
The incident happened when the MLA had gone incommunicado after police registered case against him on a sexual assault complaint. He later secured a pre-arrest bail from a local court in Thiruvananthapuram.

Babu said the MLA threatened him at the residence of businessman Jibi on October 16. He went there to ask Jibi to return the “money he borrowed” from him in 2013. Jibi said he could return only half of the money since the business was a failure.
The talk escalated into a physical fight and Jibi’s wife hit him with a pan. Meanwhile, Eldhose, who was present there, intervened and threatened to kill him if he goes to police about it, he said in the complaint filed with the circle inspector of Paravoor.
After reappearing at his home on Friday, MLA said he was not in hiding and has done nothing wrong (in the sexual assault case).
