VA Arun Kumar, son of the late VS Achuthanandan, shared a heartfelt note on social media, thanking everyone who paid respects and supported his father’s legacy

Former Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan's son, VA Arun Kumar, has expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who paid their respects to his father during the final journey and beyond. In a deeply emotional Facebook post, Arun Kumar reflected on the loss and the overwhelming support shown by the public.
"This morning is a painful reminder that my father is no longer with me," he wrote. "For the past month, I had clung to the hope that he might return to us, but fate had other plans."
He acknowledged the distress of many close friends and well-wishers who were unable to see Achuthanandan in his final days due to strict medical protocols. "There were hundreds of my father’s close friends who wished to see him while he was in the hospital, but we had to follow the doctors' instructions. I fear I may not have expressed enough warmth to those who came to console us during that time," he admitted.
Describing the period following his father's death as a blur, Arun Kumar recalled being moved by the vast crowd that joined the funeral procession. "While travelling to Valiya Chudukadu with my father’s body, the sea of people I saw from the bus is etched in my memory. I know many were disappointed they couldn’t bid farewell even after waiting for hours. I am deeply grateful to all of them."
He concluded by thanking the doctors, those who consoled the family, the thousands who supported his father, and the party that stood by them during the time of grief.
