
Thiruvananthapuram: The police have registered a case against 700 identifiable persons, including Hindu Aikya Vedi leader KP Sasikala, for staging a protest march in Vizhinjam the other day.
Reportedly, the case has been registered against launching the march without permission and blocking roads in the area.
Hindu Aikya Vedi activists conducted the march to Vizhinjam port construction area on Wednesday in protest against the attack on public forum activists in Mullur.
However, the march, which began at Mukkola junction, was halted by the police at Mullur. Following which, the activists sat on the road in protest.
The Vizhinjam police had denied permission for the march on Wednesday. However, the Aikya Vedi activists went ahead with the march.
