Kochi: The director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau received a complaint demanding investigation into the allegations against Veena Vijayan, daughter of Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and political leaders who allegedly received money from the CMRL company. The complaint was filed by Kalamassery native and activist Girish Babu.
Earlier, Income Tax Dispute Resolution Committee had issued an order in connection with a tussle over taxes between the IT department and the CMRL company, in which the committee said Veena received money from CMRL for services that were not rendered. The order also noted a group of politicians who allegedly received money from the company, including leaders of Congress, CPM and IUML from the state.
A copy of the particular order has also been attached with the complaint. Girish Babu has sought investigation against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act. A copy of the complaint has been forwarded to the Governor as well.
