Thiruvananthapuram: United Democratic Front (UDF) plans to organise farmers protests in various parts of the state.

The protest aims to address issues faced by the farming community in the state. UDF also demanded the government to waive off debts of farmers.

Protests of paddy farmers are organised in Kuttanad and Palakkad. In Idukki and Wayanad, protest events will be organised by cardamom, pepper, coffee, and tea plantation farmers.

Coconut and areca nut farmers will hold protests in Kuttiyadi and Kasaragod, respectively. Further, rubber farmers would organise a march to the rubber board headquarters in Mundakayam.
