Kozhikode: Two teachers from MS Solutions, an institute involved in the question paper leak, were taken into custody by the Crime Branch. The teachers, Jishnu from Kozhikode and Fahad from Malappuram, were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday at their residences in Koduvalli. The action was taken after they failed to appear before the investigation team for interrogation, despite being directed to do so. Meanwhile, the owner of MS Solutions, Mohammad Shuhaib, remains at large.
The Education Department had discovered that over the last three quarterly exams, MS Solutions had leaked question papers for public school exams and shared them through a YouTube channel, which was launched in 2017. The viewership of the channel saw a remarkable increase after it predicted the questions for the 2023 Christmas exam. Viewership numbers rose further during the SSLC exam in March 2024 and the Onam and Christmas exams.
During the last Onam exam, it was revealed that students in the Koduvalli area, where the YouTube channel was based, had widely copied answers. Students presented answers that matched the questions they had received from the YouTube channel. Following a complaint, the Koduvalli AEO conducted an investigation, and the findings were forwarded to the Director of General Education through the Thamarssery DEO.
