Kozhikode: Two more Covid deaths have been reported in Kozhikode. The deceased were identified as Civil Station native Rukhiyabi (67) and Panniyankara native Muhammed Koya (58).

Rukhiyabi died on Thursday afternoon at the medical college hospital here. She was admitted to a private hospital on July 17 after suffering from high blood pressure, asthma and dizziness. On the same day, she was shifted to the medical college. 

Her Covid test was conducted after death and the result came out positive on Friday. She had been in contact with a Covid patient.

Muhammed Koya was under quarantine after he came in contact with a Covid patient. He was under treatment for high blood pressure and diabetes. Though he was taken to the medical college, he passed away on Thursday.

The bodies were laid to rest as per Covid protocol.
