Wadakkanchery (Thrissur):  A woman who tried to commit suicide after throwing her three children into a well, killing two of them, was arrested here. 

According to the police, Saina (28), wife of Akhil of Poonthuruthi House here, threw her children Abhijay (7), Adidev (5) and one and a half year old Agnika into the well.

A relative of theirs who witnessed the incident got down in the well with the help of the local people and retrieved the children. However, Abhijay and Adidev could not be saved. The reduced baby is now with her paternal grandmother. 

When Saina, who was under treatment at the Medical College here, became stable, she was arrested under various charges, including murder, attempt to murder, suicide attempt and violence against children.

The Wadakkanchery Court remanded her later.
