Thiruvananthapuram: A controversial letter addressed to CPM district secretary from Mayor Arya Rajendran has opened up debate over transparency in an appointment made in Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation.
The letter allegedly sent by Mayor Arya Rajendran to CPM District Secretary Anavoor Nagappan demands a priority list for appointing party members to 295 temporary posts in the Municipal Corporation. The letter is written on the Mayor's official letter pad.
The letter mentions appointments to 295 temporary posts vacant in the health department on a daily wage basis. The letter sent on November 1 came out after the CPM district leaders circulated it in their WhatsApp groups.
