Actor Soubin Shahir, linked to the Manjummel Boys cash fraud case, denied court permission to travel abroad for a Dubai award show on September 5.

Kochi: Actor Soubin Shahir will not be able to travel abroad after the Ernakulam Magistrate Court declined his request for permission to attend an award function in Dubai.
Soubin, one of the leads in the blockbuster ‘Manjummel Boys’, had sought the court’s approval to travel on September 5 for an award night in the United Arab Emirates. However, citing bail regulations connected to the ongoing ‘Manjummel Boys’ cash fraud case, the Kerala High Court had earlier restricted him from leaving the country.
The magistrate court’s order on Monday reiterated that restriction, effectively barring him from attending the Dubai event.
According to legal sources, Soubin plans to move the High Court on Tuesday to seek a relaxation of his bail conditions. If the High Court also declines his plea, the actor will have to forgo participation in the award ceremony.
