Kochi: Transgender activist Anannyah Kumari Alex has been found dead in her flat at Edappally here.

Earlier, Anannyah had raised allegation that she was facing serious health issues following a sex reassignment surgery. She had also told the media that she wanted justice as it was a case of medical negligence.

Anannyah was the first transgender radio jockey in Kerala. She had filed nomination to contest the assembly election against P K Kunhalikutty in Vengara constituency. Later, she withdrew from the electoral fray.
