ADGP MR Ajithkumar, Shahrukh Saifi
Kozhikode: ADGP MR Ajithkumar has revealed that Shahrukh Saifi, the suspect behind the arson attack on the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express, had meticulously planned the crime. The investigation team has gathered concrete evidence against him and confirmed that Shahrukh himself carried out the attack.
According to ADGP Ajithkumar, Shahrukh Saifi is highly radicalised and a devout follower of the controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik. He used to regularly watch videos of Zakir Naik, ADGP said.
The police were able to collect crucial evidence against Shahrukh in a short period of time.
Further details regarding the crime will be revealed in the upcoming probe, ADGP Ajithkumar said.
