Pala, Kottayam: A tourist bus carrying a group of students met with an accident here on Wednesday, leaving several people injured.

The incident happened around 1 am on the Thodupuzha–Pala road.

The bus was part of a group returning from a trip to Munnar. The students from Thonnakkal Government Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram were travelling in three buses, and one of them overturned.

Several students sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals. Further details are awaited.
