Kalpetta: In a shocking incident, a tourist bus fell into a ditch in Wayanad’s Lakkidi on Wedensday. The bus was carrying students and teachers from a school in Karnataka.

Some passengers reportedly sustained injuries, but none were serious.

The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. It is believed that the driver fell asleep, causing the bus to plunge into ditch near Lakkidi Veterinary University.

The group involved in the accident was from K.P.S. Govt High School in Harnahalli, Karnataka. It included 47 students, nine teachers, and a cook.
