New Delhi: Congress MP TN Prathapan has been appointed as Working President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, a communique released by the All India Congress Committee on Tuesday said.

“Congress President has approved the proposal of the appointment of Shri T.N.  Prathapan as the  Working President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect,” it said.

Prathapan is the sitting MP of Thrissur. The new development comes after the Congress decided to field K Muraleedharan as Thrissur candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. 

The two other Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee Working Presidents are MP Kodikkunnil Suresh and MP T Siddique.
