The break-ins were discovered when the temples were opened on Thursday morning

Thrissur: Two temples near the Thrissur Range DIG office were targeted in overnight thefts, police said on Thursday.
The break-ins were discovered when the temples were opened on Thursday morning, with officers confirming that donation boxes at both sites had been forcibly opened.
At one temple, no money was taken as the contents had already been removed earlier. However, a sum was stolen from the other donation box.
One of the temples is adjacent to the DIG’s office, while the other is roughly 200 metres away, police said.
A theft case has been registered and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrator.
