The accused arrested in the case

Thrissur: Police arrested two persons from Thrissur’s Pazhayannur in a case relating to missing of construction materials brought for renovation of Vazhakode-Plazhi state highway.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Puthirithara natives Ramesh (46) and Jayan (36).

The duo stole materials including iron bar, jack and scaffolding that was brought for construction of culvert. They also sold them to a scrap shop.

The police raid was based on the complaint lodged by Pathanamthitta native Ratheesh, the contractor.

The road construction materials belong to EKK Infrastructure which was into highway renovation project.

According to police, one more accused is yet to be nabbed in connection with the case.
