The drifting attempt was reportedly encouraged after onlooking children expressed interest in participating.

The vehicle was being driven recklessly by Shajeer, a resident of Kaipamangalam. Sinan was crushed under the vehicle and suffered fatal head injuries. Two other children were also in the vehicle at the time.
Police said the drifting was carried out without following any safety regulations. The attempt reportedly took place after onlooking children expressed interest in joining, leading Shajeer to let Sinan and others participate.
