
Kochi: A shocking incident of school violence has emerged in Thrippunithura, where a 10th-grade student was severely beaten by his schoolmates. The attack took place on Monday morning inside the washroom of the school, allegedly over a personal dispute involving his former girlfriend.
According to the police report, the assault was carried out by a group of five students, including a Plus Two student and four 10th grader, all from the same school. The police have registered a case against them based on the complaint filed by the victim. The complaint states that the Plus Two student led the group and initially struck the victim in the face.
The FIR mentions that the other students who were present at the scene verbally abused the victim and egged on the assault, making the situation even more harrowing for the young student.
The reasons behind the violent act are linked to a disagreement over the victim's breakup with his girlfriend, according to the police. The victim's nose was broken in the attack, and several of his teeth were knocked out.
