Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram district won the Chief Minister's Gold Cup with 1825 points at the start of this year's State School Olympics. Thrissur and Kannur districts, which were in second and third place, scored 892 and 859 points respectively. Thiruvananthapuram emerged as the champions this time by clearly dominating the aquatics and games events.

In the games category, Thiruvananthapuram led with 1107 points, leaving Kannur behind with 798 points. The district also topped the aquatics events, scoring 649 points, while Thrissur came second with 149 points. Meanwhile, Malappuram took the championship in athletics with 247 points, followed by Palakkad in second place with 212 points.
