Thiruvananthapuram: In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old man lost his life after a swing rope accidentally got entangled around his neck at Mundela here. The deceased has been identified as Sindhu Kumar, also known as Abilash, a native of Mavukonam.

The incident occurred late on Monday night. According to the victim’s family, he was last seen around 11 pm, talking on the phone while swinging. The family members, including his sister and her children, later found him dead around 4 am on Tuesday.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time, accidentally became entangled in the swing rope, leading to his death.

Aruvikara Police have registered a case and launched an inquiry into the incident. Further investigations are underway.
