Kozhikode: A fierce forest without human presence, a 100-year-old well near an unreachable temple surroundings. It's been ages since the existence of a hidden treasure was found inside this well using Tamboola Prashnam in Janakikadu, Kozhikode. The previous day, the forest ranges realized that the soil inside the well had been removed by anonymous individuals.

It's not a simple task to remove soil from the well, which was half-filled with mud and waste and is also under ranger's surveillance. But on a fine morning, it had disappeared. The locals and rangers think that the presence of the hidden treasure is the reason behind this incident. Anonymous persons dug the well that has been under the supervision of the forest department in Maruthonkara panchayat for years.

It came to the notice of the rangers a couple of days ago that the soil had been removed from the well. It is located near the Thrikkaiparamb Mahavishnu temple in Janakikadu.

The well was covered with waste and obsolescence till the first two rings. The police stated that it would take more than three people and around five days of work to remove the soil from the well altogether. Hoes and pickaxes were found abandoned near the well.

The locals are amazed by the complicated task done perfectly inside the forest under challenging conditions. After the incident was noticed, the forest department filed a case with Thottilpalam police. It will only be possible for professionals doing well construction to get in and complete it fast. The soil dug out from the well is disposed of nearby.

The locals mentioned that it is a complete failure from the forest department, which failed to notice the trespassing of people into their territory. There is no information on the anonymous people who trespassed inside the location surrounded by trees and vines.

Illegal trespassing and crimes were happening in the forest. The locals continuously requested to place the wire and solar fences to the authorities. But nothing happened. The locals stated that the issues regarding the well should be seriously dealt with, and the forest department and police should intensify the investigation.

Kuttiyadi forest range officer K.P Abdulla said that a case has been charged. He added that the tools used for digging have been found and the investigation expanded. The issue is the latest addition to the various mysteries and conspiracies about Janakikadu.
