Thiruvananthapuram: The Motor Vehicle department issued a penalty on the luxury service bus Gajaraja operated by KSRTC Swift for pasting cooling film on its window panes.

The fine was imposed last month on the Kazhakuttom-Kaniyapuram national highway. A fine receipt amounting to Rs 250 was sent to KSRTC.

Earlier, the MVD and the state electricity department lined the headlines for their tit-for-tat actions against each other. MVD AI cameras caught and fined KSEB for carrying a picker pole on one of their jeeps. The latter retaliated by disconnecting the fuse of an RTO office citing bill payment arrears.
